Started playing on EU just after the G12 update (which, as I understand, included G7-G12 and pissed off some of the foreign servers that we got a huge update). Was there for about 9-12 months before it shut down, that was almost 5 years ago now. Then played Mabi NA for a while until it became all too clear that they were just going to stick everything we used to have to work hard for into Gachapons; quit for about 2-3 years.
This server is really hitting my nostalgia hard, loving the experience so far.

I've only done it once, and maybe it was a fluke; but if you hit the balloon while on a pet (i.e. Snow Tiger) you teleport as normal, then are frozen in place. Almost looks like you are stuck inside the wooden post. You cannot exit combat mode, either.
Wasn't sure where to post this, but here seemed semi-appropriate.
EDIT: Seems to only happen from Altar->Taillteann. Not the other way.
EDIT2!: Does not happen when single-wielding (tested with Broadsword and no shield, Mace and Shield and Two Broadswords).

Just to mention, relogging/changing channel fixes the lock-up.

Play in Windowed mode and maximise the window. The only way, sadly.
Got up to my G10 prefinal (Adv) and found that we don't have too many people over level 300.
Sad times.

Download MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner Statistics Server, limit FPS to 60 in RivaTuner.

Currently getting this random crashing also; patched to the latest version on 2 PCs.
Now trying to redownload the client, and run without Astral or bPatcher mods. Will report back whether it's fixed for me or not..

Seems to happen when I enter shadow missions; client freezes up in SCC when I approach/am fighting the first wave.
Also, OS is Windows 10; guess mabi has no idea what that is.

Who are we?
Originally founded on Mabinogi EU under the same name, our guild leader, my brother, was zoran88, and later Hitaru. The guild moved over to Mari server, after the EU shutdown, under the name Ocarina (seems Celestial was taken), with the guild leader being named Kaiyuri. It'd be nice to reconnect with some of our old guildies, though Kaiyuri has long since quit Mabi altogether.
From the start, we've always been a relaxed guild. Our focus being on enjoying the content at our own pace, rather than rushing to the end-game; always ready to help out those who need it.
Of course, this means that the Guild Leader and all current Officers are located in the EU, and will have different log on times than those playing from elsewhere. We're about 5/6 hours ahead of server time.
If you'd like a nice, easy-going and laid-back guild to run things with, or who can help out when needed, then maybe you should consider applying. Most of our players are online daily and available to help out with just about anything.

Can't really write a guide, since I terrible at making money, however here's the things I do when I need gold.
Ciar Adv for 2/3 with Party Quests. Since we're allowed 2 alts it makes this easier, but you could just as easily bring a friend for Adv for 2. I'd recommend running Adv for 3 with an Unrestricted Pass (30k from Shyla) as this dungeon has 2 Golems at the end. Why is that important? Those Golems drop Stamp burns, which can be sold for 150k very quickly, or more if you're patient. The party quests give 20-24k for each member, which is quite nice as it covers the cost of your pass in the first run and then pots in subsequent runs. Additionally, the Green Snakes in here like to drop Fine and Finest Leathers; which are easily 10k each right now for fines, and 12k for finest, each.
After your first run, Adv for 2 is shorter and it's easier to find one person to run with. Two people at 150-200 should theoretically be able to run this, Bug Bears might suck a little, but just camp a corner and windmill spam if necessary.
Grind for Color burns, as these can sell for 100k. Easy missions that reward them are: Defeat the Shadow Warrior on Int and above (Total 100+), Defeat the Fomor Commander 1 on any difficulty.
These are the easiest missions that can give it, but there are others. Shadow Warrior is recommended as it's a cakewalk, but of course you need to be over total 100.
Spam Blood in the Water Intermediate. Can be tricky as the mobs do high damage and the boss is a nightmare at lower levels. But with decent Lucky Finishes and ~5 mins per run, you can easily make 500k-1m in 2 hours, which is one 2x combat exp potion (60k from Shyla).
Buy Gacha and hope. 50 Red coins for 2. Don't do this unless you already have enough pets. And bear in mind that Red coins can also be sold for about 3.5k each.
Keep an eye on party chat channel. See what people are actively buying and wiki to see where it comes from. Think you can handle it? Go for it.
Holy Waters! 15k per stack doesn't sound amazing, but when you're at the point of getting 10 per job, and you can do Heulfryn and Kristell in one day, you can easily build up a nice reserve to sell at a weekend. But to be honest, I only do this when I'm semi afk, and I sit at Endelyon in Tir as her job is easy.

Just spam normal math (much easier than the above suggestions for someone who just started) and sell leathers to Lame. Instant cash. 10k per stack of common leather, 100k per stack of fine leather, 120k per stack of finest. On top of that, you get all the fomor scrolls and gold drops.

Took like a week. Waited for 1st RB to get into melee destiny for 2x training rate, and trained in SCC, lingering and zombies TNN
Basically this. I got mine to r5-ish in the first week, then it was all about abusing skelly scrolls for gold (before it was patched).
Training is so much faster with destiny bonus.

I disagree Zanath, but only since Mabinogi EU used the same G1-3 as we currently do. However G1 also rewarded roughly 70-100 AP for completion; it just gives an added incentive to run G1 since it's age is definitely showing at this point due to the quest wait times (irl days for Aeira's books).
It would probably take time to adjust each individual quest too, and it'd be a ultra-low priority I feel.
Trouble is, how would it be approached with regards to those who've already completed it, or elves and giants? Seems unfair to those people.

Easiest way will be to download and extract Astral Patcher into mabipro's folder, it has a Data folder section in it's IJL15.ini. Edit that file to your liking. Astral also contains stuff like CP viewer and Zoom distance mods. http://mabinogi.ir/thread/244-astral-patcher
Download Satori's Mod if you'd like to, extract into mabipro's folder and just run Mabi, everything should work; if not, I'm sure we could get it working..maybe. Satori's is pretty outdated by now for even this server lol.
Another thing to look into is Flippy's bPatcher1, which allows you to modify Pleione.dll to allow for a further view distance and some other stuff. Instructions are given in the thread, this tool could be used to make much more complicated mods, iirc, but view distance is already made by Flippy. http://mabinogi.ir/thread/1093-tutorial-custom-patches

Hi, I play a few characters in game, however I main as Kakusha; joined this server on something like the 8th day of it opening, took a little break at some point, but now I'm online daily running the guild Celestial.
Even though I'm online daily, I tend to play fairly casually; I'm in no rush to get to the end-game. Just here living out my old MabiEU fantasies.
For live mabi, I played on Mari server, predominantly as my 10k Giant Carlonia; it'd be interesting to see if anyone remembers me...

I'm with Oak. But also, you don't need to use -CP gears to train Windmill; myself and many others did it in the early days of this server before there was any readily available -CP gear.
Elf Windmill is a pain, but moreso because Elves have a 50% damage nerf and no Dual-wield option.
Everything doesn't have to be rank 1-able in a day just like live. It just takes some effort here.
If you really need a little -CP, go and run some Karu and hunt Difficult (rank A Suffix) that has -100 CP and slap it on some light armor.
Edit: Further suggestion, The Other Alchemist has golems that only have ~190hp on Basic and very high CP. That's where I used to get my Boss kill requirements.
