i don't know anything about the technical side of implementing this but difficulties with that aside i can't think of any good reasons for giants to not have play dead. if nothing else it would be funny to see giants randomly taking the dive.

In dual wielding max artisan battleswords they get up to 86 - 114 dmg with 44% crit, I dont see dual wielding any blunt weapon near that level.

perfect battle swords only hit that hard on basic attacks. smash, windmill, etc. (the attacks that matter) are calculated by adding both weapons' damage to the damage from your base stats and skills.

base max damage for windmill with dual battle swords (with perfect artisan rolls!): 54+54+60 (from artisan str) = 168
base max damage for windmill with dual warhammers (no artisan rolls required): 87+87 = 174

dual warhammers have higher damage, blunt mastery gives more damage than sword mastery, and giants get much more str.

this is not even accounting for the fact that blunt egos are much more poweful than any 1h sword ego.

giants don't "need" a damage buff to completely outclass humans. they already do.

i am now rank 1 carpentry. will make bows or high grade firewood for free if provided with mats. the more mats provided = more bows i make = higher chance for high grade finishes.

if you provide the materials i will make you bows with hope to making high grade finish bows. for the best chance of getting high grade finishes, you should bring me materials to make several of the kind of bow you want. all of the bows i make with your materials will be yours to dispose of at your preference. i will also make high grade firewood for free if provided with raw materials. i will be open to providing this service every monday (and on other days, but my success rates will obviously be lower).

average firewood = 3 (normal) firewoods
fine firewood = 3 average firewoods
finest firewood: = 3 fine firewoods

shortbow: 2 fine firewoods + 2 thick thread balls
elven shortbow: 3 fine firewoods + 3 thick thread balls + 3 large nails
long bow: 5 fine firewoods + 3 thick thread balls + 1 cheap leather strap
composite bow: 8 fine firewoods + 2 thick thread balls + 2 thin thread balls
guardian bow: 4 fine firewoods + 1 finest firewood + 2 tough strings
elven long bow: 3 fine firewoods + 2 finest firewoods + 1 tough string + 2 iron ingots
leather long bow: 5 fine firewoods + 3 finest firewoods + 3 thick thread balls + 1 fine leather
crossbow: 6 finest firewoods + 1 tough string + 10 large nails + 1 common leather

at your preference, i will accept lower quality wood as raw materials and produce the higher grade firewood needed from it. below will be given the cost of each item in raw firewood (not accounting for failures in the production of intermediary materials):

fine firewood = 9 firewoods (minimum)
finest firewood: = 27 firewoods (minimum)
shortbow = 18 firewoods (minimum)
elven shortbow = 27 firewoods (minimum)
long bow = 45 firewoods (minimum)
composite bow = 72 firewoods (minimum)
guardian bow = 63 firewoods (minimum)
elven long bow = 81 firewoods (minimum)
leather long bow = 126 firewoods (minimum)
crossbow = 162 firewoods (minimum)

wonder if human charge could be locked to using a shield OR using heavy armor (or both, obviously). that could be an interesting compromise that also makes heavy armor more relevant.

it's also "thematic" given the main thematic idea behind charge is to rush through arrows to hit an archer, and historically full metal body armor helped mitigate the need for shields in performing such feats

perhaps the new enchant slot for heavy armors could be used to grant the ability to charge without a shield?

agreed. the nerf was understandable, but there is no longer any reason for it.

if simply possessing a slate while rebirthing caused the glitch, i don't see how it's possible to know who was intentionally abusing the glitch and who was not, given that you have to rebirth to progress in this game. as far as i know, for the most part, people quested for these things only to use them as vessels for enchants, as the item bonuses are useless to most players (except for the treetop slates to archers). how many even knew about the glitch? who ever bothers to look at their defense?
