MabiPro: The Authentic Old-School Mabinogi Experience

I started in G3 in Tarlach, but ended up taking a long break shortly after starting until G9, and I continued to be active up until the current day.

Have you modified the event rewards or is this event still using the original official rewards?

As someone who has logged dialogue for Aura, I have to say that trying to get dialogue from official is very time consuming, especially when you factor in likability related dialogue and quest dialogue.

Then of course for MabiPro you would have to find where that script fits into the npc script file. I'd imagine that just translating the lines from Japanese would actually be much easier than trying to deal with all of that.

Posting this here because this information is absent from the wiki, as skipping G2 was never possible in the NA server.

For players who skipped G2 through the weird cat, Paladin can be learned by talking to the weird cat again and asking to become a Paladin. The Weird Cat will then give you the paladin armor for the Ciar Dungeon White Wolf RP quest. After completing the quest the Weird Cat will tell you about Paladin skills and will teach you Spirit of Order, Power of Order, Eye of Order, and Sword of Order. The remaining skills are learned through a separate questline.

Normally for players who did G2, pages 1 and 2 were automatically in the book. Players who skipped G2 must find these pages.

Page 1:
Asking Eavan about the book of Paladin will give you a quest to deliver 5 skeleton wolf fomor scrolls. Skeleton wolves can be found in Rabbie Normal or Advanced Dungeon, Rundal Normal, or on the path to Bangor in Gairech. Completing the quest will give you the first page for the book of Paladin.

Page 2:
Asking Craig about the book of Paladin will give you a quest to get a magic powder of preservation. Craig will give you a damaged page and a pass to Barri Dungeon as well. The Dungeon consists of 2 floors with mostly normal Barri spawns (no imp spawns, vampire bats seem to be a little more common than normal). The boss is 2 werewolves and 3 gray gremlins. The reward chest will give a magic powder of preservation, this is used to complete the quest. Completing the quest will give you 100 exp and a physical 2x2 quest scroll containing the next quest.

For the 2nd quest you just need to talk to Craig, he will then tell you that a magic user needs to repair the page and he sends you to stewart. After talking to stewart you can complete the quest and get the second page for the book of Paladin.

It does seem kind of strange that she isn't there, especially with all the content that is now in that area.

Here is a question, what do you consider to be an enhancement? As far as I'm concerned, new content is an enhancement. I'll be perfectly honest, the nostalgia of classic mabinogi wore off a very long time ago for me, the main reason I still play on this server is for the new content. Now, new content needs to stay balanced with the rest of the game, we don't want large parts of the game to become pointless to run.

It seems to me that they are slowly adding ways to get new skill ranks on said skills that are capped. They have to implement new ways to get rank ups on these skills, but they have to carefully integrate these drops into the game, so I'm sure they will add skill ranks bit by bit.

It doesn't necessarily have to be an item, an npc could directly give training for the skill for example. However, it is impossible currently for them to change the actual training methods, so making charge have regular skill training requirements for the rest of its ranks would currently be impossible for example.

It's a very common for new users to be confused on how to do Generation 1 on MabiPro. Even more confusing is that Generation 1 in NA had changes multiple times so neither the Pre-genesis or Post-genesis wiki articles have all the information in one place.

As someone who works on the Aura project, collecting English dialog is a very time consuming task. It can take me an entire day just to gather a mostly complete set of dialog for only 3 NPCs, and this is missing some harder to get dialog such as favor related dialog. Additionally this doesn't include any quests or part time jobs. It is a massive pain to collect and is very time consuming. It's probably still faster than translating in most cases, but its a very time consuming task.

Late reply I know, but G1-G3 were revamped during G16s2. The guide linked here is for the original version of G1 since G1 ended up changing quite a bit after the G16s2 Genesis patch.
