Im a very noob person and recently I looked up some videos on youtube and people have mount slots so they can have quick summon and stuff. So I wondered, is that addons or life improvements over the patches on live? and if there are, are they bannable?

Mount slots? It may help if you screenshot what you're referring to, or post a link to the video.
Quick summon can be achieved for up to 10 pets, via hotkeys. Mabi Live has extra skill bars that we do not have, which may be what you're referring to. As for "Life Improvements," those typically come in the form of mods, and are commonly allowed. General rule of thumb though, if it could detrimentally affect another's game, mess with the market, or some other form of trouble, check with the mods via support ticket, before using it.
