MabiPro: The Authentic Old-School Mabinogi Experience

I would like to discuss the merits, consequences, and possibility of EQUIP transmog.

The simplicity of the game-art allows different players to be easily distinguished so it seems like a waste of potential not to allow players to play with their appearances. I'm sure players can share the sentiment of being unwilling to sacrifice stats over fashion.

In case the term is foreign, by EQUIP transmog, I mean eqp retraining their stats/enchants and changing in only appearance. The most immediate question is whether it's possible or an easily implemented feature.

EQUIP transmog is different from transferring enchants of an EQUIP to another of the same type. That itself comes with it's own issues and not really the direction I'd like the thread to go.

Vindictus did have this system, where you swapped an items appearance with another. Don't know if they can do that here since Vindi is a completely different system than mabi. One possibility (though it would be extremely inefficient) would be to have a scroll that you put on an item and then combine it with the thing you want that item to look like. Then when you go to equip it the server temporarily makes a completely new item that destroys itself and gives you your old item back when you unequip it. No idea if that's possible or not though.

Its possible on live, not sure if they will/able to implement it on here aswell

I don't think it's possible here. They had to code a brand new system for it on Live, and since we already can't make Halos work, I think it'd be very unlikely that the transmog system could be carried over.
