MabiPro: The Authentic Old-School Mabinogi Experience

I may have asked before, sorry if so.

Can we get an option for fps control of some sort? Having my graphics card constantly trying to max out fps on the game makes it run hot, and it's really pointless. Win10 has an xbox dvr thing, that caps games, but that does not work. I use an amd card, which is supposed to allow you set an fps limit, but that does not seem to work.

While not exactly FPS limiting per se, You could try to enable vsync; In most games it usually limits the FPS to you monitor refresh rate; 60 FPS for 60Hrz, 120 FPS for 120Hrz, etc.

I don't think there is a feature in Mabinogi to limit FPS, however as scagliamabipro has stated, you can try to enable VSync. The AMD Driver control panel should have options to force VSync.
It should be noted that Mabinogi uses DirectX9 so an OpenGL based FPS limit will not work.

As i play borderless, vsync doesn't honestly work. If i fullscreen, yes vsync activates, but i don't fullscreen any game, i rather use borderless as much as possible.

Using AMD though, if i launch the client directly obviously nothing happens. I have a direct launch shortcut, which i tested as well, and the fps limit still does not apply.

Download MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner Statistics Server, limit FPS to 60 in RivaTuner.
That's the way I do it.

I use a dxtory installation to lock the game at 24FPS.

imo, a point and click game isn't worth the extra framerate, so I don't give it any
