@gmerc

The idea that cuilin stones are only used for golems doesn't really do it justice in my opinion. Yes you could just use the fine/finest for making golems, but not every player uses golems. So why not give them another reason to mine and use them instead.

Also the proposed values I mentioned above are just an example. I'm not a game balancer and I haven't exactly calculated the impact of said damage values.

making the ammo on smaller quantities (maybe 100 ~ 200 at a time when the stack sizes increase again) might be better yes, but again that also depends largely on game balancing reasons.

You could even make the succes % for making and the ammount of crystals yielded per cuilin stone increase proportional to your alchemy mastery or/and the mastery of said element.

Aawh, Egoable shields didn't make it into the poll.

Will dream on...
It will give too much def/protection.....

You can have 100 def/ 40prot and still die in 2 hits from mostly everything at higher levels of play lol.

Most part-time jobs have a pretty long time limit before you can turn them in, because it limits you from doing multiple kinds part-time jobs in quick succession on a single erin day.

If you find it troubling that you have to wait till you can turn in a party time job why not start it later then 7am. Pick up the quest at 10am and turn it in at 12pm instead.

It won't when dueling at 0-3%

Mabinogi balance shoudn't be done based on pvp anyway.

Hey,
First I'd like to welcome you to the mabi.pro community.
As for you're questions I'll try to answer then in a non-oppinion based way.

1 - I wanna to be able to fight and heal, so, I thought about leveling melee and then level healing and party healing. Is it a bad choice and should I stick to mage stuff?
Being able to heal others is always a nice thing to be able to do, unfortunatly due the fact that mana evaporation is still a thing in this generation, it means that you cannot switch back and forth to a healing wand without losing all your mana evertime you do. This makes it pretty inconvienient to both be effective in combat and healing at the same time. Also as a side note, many players in the community value a damage dealer over a dedicated healer in a party.

2 - I read a little and as far as I understood I should use 2 swords or two-handed sword as a human. Why can't I use a shield and a one-handed weapon?
Both windmill and smash get bonus damage based on your 2nd equipped sword, or 20% bonus damage on smash if you are using a two-handed sword. Nobody is telling you you can't use a 1-handed weapon + a shield. But your damage output will be less and in the harder content later in the game a shield is not going to save you from +300 dmg hits.

3 - If I go to the magic route, what should I level besides windmill?
Magic mastery + Meditation, followed by either thunder + lighing mastery or alternativly if you prefer bolt spells firebolt + icebolt + bolt mastery + fusion bolt mastery.

4 - Is there any point in using acessories? I can't use them while wearing a heavy armor but they seem weak and expensive.
Accessories give you access to 2 extra prefix and 2 extra suffix enchant slots, also most armors are insufficient in giving you enough survivability at the higher levels of play because you will most likely die in 2 hits anyway regardless of how well protected you are.

5 - I like to train profession skills such as the life skills in the game. Is there anything I should focus? I plan to level them all after getting good enough with the combat skills but I plan to level the most important one first.
Taking the current poll into mind you shoudn't be forced anymore to have to rank refine first, but its still probably one of the better skills to start with. If you plan on going mage I'd suggest pcking up potion making to supply yourself with enough mana potions. Also composing and musical knowledge give a pretty good int boost aswel.

6 - All heavy armors give the same stats or am I reading something wrong? I checked the 2011 wiki and they all seem to be the same in stats but look different.
Yes currently all accessible heavy armors have 6 defence and 4~2 protection depending on the quality of the armor. Some armors also have auto melee/range defence on them.

I hope I was of use to you and if you have any further questions I'll gladly answer them.
Don't forget to look at the various guides people have written and posted on the forum aswel.

Greets,
Fruttie

I disagree.

A medium-class shield reduces all incoming damage by 50% when used to block (in addition to the hidden bonuses to def and protection and bonus from def skill), before protection and defense are accounted for. (this can outright negate attacks from even Ogre Warriors with upgraded armor and r1 defense)

And you need a shield for charge, unless you're a giant, and to actually stop ranged attacks from messing with you while defending.

(now a small shield isn't much worth using (it's only -25% incoming damage and much lower hidden values) IMO, unless you're just broke and REALLY need a shield, I never touched those until Guard Cylinders were added much much later, since it at least brought some added hybrid value on top of the small shield benefits)

You can pretty much negate 300+ attacks fairly easily. It's not Vales Shield amazing or anything (-100% damage when blocking) but if you NEED to take a hit, there's no reason to not take it with a shield.

Especially starting out, focusing on close combat and keeping some Dual-wield or 2hdr for damage and sword/shield for when you're fighting tankier enemies you might need to take an attack or two on to set up a combo.

Small, medium, large shield classifications + their 25, 50 and 100% damage reductions are not yet implented in this current generation.

Please do your research before you spout out things.

Are you sure? Did you test this yourself?

Because I always was under the inpression that mana shield ignores all def/prot (even when using defence) alltogether. Ever since the skill was introduced.

Keep in mind though that that wiki is based of the NA client, so some information may slightly differ. But most of it should be accurate.

Please no..
I would suggest abit of AP...or ranking up the specific skill abit faster..

But life skills should not ADD/Subtract to Fighting skills..(lookup first aid)
The game is fast..at Double and faster, a little focus can take you into HIGH CP, where SOME SKILLS can not be trained(taming)..

For anyone that dont know..
Life skills DO ADD...int/dex/str...which WILL help you...MOST DONT ADD CP..

The real hard part of Life skills tends to be AP..getting the points to raise them.
Would be interesting to add a second group, that only adds points to Life skills.. Running around beating up fomors/doing ohter fighting skills, just to get Life skills up..is abit weird..

We are not talking about te gathering skills from live, we are only talking about gaining experience (to level up) from gathering materials/crafting products.

only if they only raise the stack size on potion sizes that are made via Potionmaking

Why? I still use hp30/stam30 pots and it takes up massive ammounts of inventory space because we don't have potion bags.

@Cyre

I personally do not use archery, but I think Tuesday means that you have less time to aim now then before the migration because mobs aggro and respond/react faster in combat then they did before.

Combine that with maybe being on a node thats slightly lagging(that happens alot lately). And you have even less time to get your shot up to aim compared to what it would have been before.

Also the aim% ingame doesn't always accuratly represents how much actual aim % your at.

start using the larger potion denominations, then? the convenience of being able to just buy HP30s and SP30s really can't be understated, and i think it would be a mistake to apply buffs to items inversely proportionate to how useful they already are.

This is weird. Buffing all stack sizes doesn't change the relative convenience of small v.s. large potion denominations in any way. Voted "Yes."

Increasing the stack size of smaller potion denominations literally disincentivizes using larger ones by design because Mabinogi lets you pop potions as fast as your finger can mash the hotkey.

Thats why potion poisoning exists.

Note: you will still be able to become paladin if you skip g2 (so essencially g2 only gives journal points and nohing else).

g2 also gives you access to the mythril mines, if you do refining then having access to the mines is a godsend.

Skipping g2 still gives you the mytril mine keyword to get the barri mytril passes.

Btw I forgot to mention, but skipping g2 makes you get a few additional pages in the passive defence quest*
