There are a variety of tools that have popped up over time, for mabi live. Some of them, i'm thinking would be nice to see on this server, so figured i'd ask and see if there was anyone with an interest in remaking them for mabi pro. Two of the most notable i'd like, just me personally, would be
1) Mabimessage
http://yukitsuki.com/index.php?page=mabimessage
2) Local Hotkey Server
http://www.mabinogiworld.com/showthread.php?17082-How-to-fix-your-hotkeys

Clicking the threads should give you adequate info on them. There may be other useful tools, but those two are some i'd really like to see, mabimessage especially with the tiny font on high resolutions.

Our hotkey server is fine though...

I've had my hotkeys reset, and ui, at least twice since i started. Your hotkey server may be fine, but if so something on my end acts up now and then, and resets everything.
Our web server is wildly unstable, which is probably why. That system that you posted should work fine here, you just have to set it up differently though.
In particular, the method of setting it up is totally wrong on their part, here's what you should actually do:

Unpack one of our .pack files (mabipro-1.0.pack), open up urls.xml in /data/db, then copy that to the data folder equivalent in the MabiPro installation directory.
Next, edit urls.xml and find the section for Japan, and then modify the UiUpload sections to point to 127.0.0.1 and whatever URL that hot key server emulator is expecting (which is probably the same for what NA uses).

MabiMessage sounds neat, is it locked to the live servers? Or can you change a config file or something to have it point to mabi.pro?

It uses WinPCap to sniff the data on the wire, it should work on MabiPro theoretically. May need some modifications to change the IP it sniffs from though.

Ill try it out
Seems MabiMessage's developers have abandoned it, the app requires a connection to their server which no longer responds.
It's also not open source, so there's probably no hope.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, this event has been cancelled.
It might get rescheduled later, but at least you get to keep your robes.

That does not exist, sorry.
If you want to ask a question on the forums, open a ticket.
If you want to talk about something ingame, find somebody with a GM title.

Why couldn't you just take the NPC text from the Aura project? Are there any major differences between the NA NPC dialogue and the JP NPC dialogue? It's completely open source and all of the NPC text is easy to find.
Except that Aura is nowhere near complete...

Durability loss is tied to spirit weapons getting hungry. If idle dur loss didn't happen people would have to religiously use their weapon to increase its stats by minuscule amounts.

That may be true, but i suspect it could easily be changed. Just every tick roll a generated dice, for example, if the number is within a set range then ego is hungry, if not wait another tick.
That is....... much harder than it sounds.

Most people don't know this, but there is two blacklists for players in Mabinogi.

The primary method most people think of first is right clicking the player and hitting Add to Blacklist.
This makes the player disappear and their local chat messages, notes, and instant messages get ignored.
This is the "local blacklist"

However, there is a more powerful blacklist that is hidden in the options.

This blacklist will block players from sending you whispers, and block their messages from appearing in global chats.
This is the "global blacklist".

Hey Milletians!

This post is to inform you all about the current state of our currently excessively long maintenance (which could potentially be the longest one to date).

It seems that in this current maintenance, there has been some major...major setbacks...

There has been numerous hardware failures in our back end infrastructure.
Our current production server is set to be brought offline tonight at 12:00 AM for repair analysis, and that is simply to analyze the current state of the hardware- who knows how long it will take to diagnose the issues, and then rebuild the server with repaired hardware.

Right now, we are moving files off of our current back end server to a new production server which will act as a fallback while our main server undergoes hardware maintenance tonight.

However, we have over 120GBs of data to transfer, analyze, verify, and then set up again in our new production server. This type of transfer was completely unexpected and we were not prepared.
Essentially, all of our backups for the production game server are in the form of 60GB .bin files containing the entire hard disk of our servers in a single file.
In order to extract the data we need, we must transfer it to the desktop of a system administrator, who will then mount the disk locally, retrieve the data, and then re-upload the data to our production server.
Due to limitations in network speed, such a transfer could take up to 10 hours - and that's before we can even retrieve the required data to run the game server.

Unfortunately, the game server is not the only server that requires transferring - we have to transfer our web services, database server, and miscellaneous systems too.
Much of these services require complete reconfiguration and re-provisioning. It takes a long time to setup all of these services from scratch, and we only have 1 person who is capable of working on maintenance of this scale, meaning this is a 1 man job.
I'm sorry that this maintenance has been so long, and for however much longer it will take.
I'll try to keep you all updated, but I'll be pretty busy as you might imagine.

Luckily, there will not be any loss of data during this maintenance. As for those who have time-restrained items/events/wine/etc, we will cross that bridge when the time comes however it's certainly not at the front of our minds right now.

That being said, there is no ETA for completion of this maintenance.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

Large data ingestion from PROD-OLD to PROD-NEW underway..
Should complete about 10% of the process when it's complete...assuming the ingestion works properly.
Lots more to go..
