Event Information:
- Event starts at La Terra Highlands Rafting Dock
- Speak to the NPC to receive a dragon boat.
- Up to 8 players can ride on the boat
- Receive a prize for completing the race in under 8 minutes.

I know how to create... items, textures...
Not sure how much you can go into detail but I'm actually curious about this.

How hard is it to make new assets for the game? (models, textures, animations, etc.) Being an artist myself I love messing around with that stuff in games and making my own to put in them.

So currently Mabinogi uses it's own model system called .PMG (rumor to be labeled as Pleione Media Group)
Most of the structure has been debunked, but not all of them as it requires a heavy amount of reverse engineering. Public tools that exist has faulty code on creating PMGs and was coded by foreign users back in 2009, for this reasoning we do not plan to use these public tools. Instead what we're trying to do is create our own tool, one that documents everything for the PMG structure and have some import system where you can use Blender to create the model, then import it to PMG. We plan to make this tool to the public and open sourced in the future so 3D model makers can have fun creating their own stuff, and maybe it will even be possible to even create new monsters in the game (currently, the public PMG editor can only edit Humanoid frameworks). You'll be able to create your own animations on the PMG tool too I believe. Textures are really simple. The texture file string must be linked inside the PMG and I believe it has their own IVs for positioning, like most directx games the texture must be created in DDS format, once that's created you just have to define it on an .xml file and select which rendering style do you want to use (for example, Normal, Alpha Blend, Transparency, cool stuff like that) and you're pretty much done for textures, all that's left to do is define the mesh on your new item in the item database.

I'll probably wait for you guys to release your better model tools but I may play around with editing textures in the meantime.

Another question related to the game, how does the different body sizes for different ages work? Is just one body model that's scaled up/down or does each age have a different models?

It's scaled..lolis can't be fixed.

Also, Alt linking. Please.

"Alt linking" is a thing already internally, but it's not public information because that information is considered sensitive.

Reasons:
  • Item drops for Dragonfly Monarch were toned down somewhat.
  • Key drop is now properly guaranteed from Dragonfly Monarch.
  • Irinid Orb dungeon was made larger and given more powerful enemies.
  • Incorrect enchant description bugs were resolved.
  • Blood in the Water changes: enemies now aggro golems. Black Ship Rats now appear as rare spawns in Int and higher difficulties. Skeleton gold was increased, but end reward gold was eliminated, to discourage usage of alts. Skeletons can also multi aggro more often, to encourage usage of real parties.
  • A bug where Voight could steal some types of artifacts without compensation was fixed. Voight was reprimanded for this behavior.
  • Synthesis Crystal now tradeable properly.
  • Dragonfly Wing Dungeon now contains correct boss and rewards.
  • Wild Troll Club textures fixed.
  • Giant Ruins Lion now dislikes golems and is generally stronger.
  • Exploration exp now properly granted from Tribal Missions.
  • Hailstorm range was increased per Content Poll.
  • Taunt and Sand Burst CP range was increased per Content Poll.
  • Some exploits were fixed.

Disable Nagle's algorithm, and play on a wired network.

Additionally, to ping the server you must figure out first what node you are connected to. You can do this ingame by typing >server. It will tell you Eins, Zwei, or Drei.

After you determine your node, you can ping the node by pinging eins.mabi.pro, zwei.mabi.pro, or drei.mabi.pro respectively.

It's a bug, we're working on fixing it so the wait time isn't so long.

Essentially, when you abnormally disconnect the game server is never notified of that disconnection.
The excessive wait is a side effect of that.

Translation is petty much windows refused (and can't) since you shouldn't run the launcher without DEP.

I've tried the remaining ones and... well, i haven't seen any other changes besides being now unable to check the error log that comes with the crash notification window.

Edit:Holy shit guys this waiting game is actually putting my capacity to not go either batshit, despair or outrcy to it's limit
Edit2: The first screenshot shows that i have from the version of VC++ 2008 that i was told to get installed up to 2017 (it overwrites VC++2015)
Ignore setting the launcher's DEP, it isnt required.
Only Client.exe really needs DEP disabled.

If this doesn't work, unfortunately, there is likely not much we can do.
If you have followed the FAQ to it's fullest extent and it still doesn't work, there is not much hope.

I will build a version of our launcher that will work on Windows XP for you, so you can play on your Windows XP computer.
Give me a bit to do this.

How do you choose which accounts are alt accounts internally? By ip they're created from? Login places?
IP address and HWID of the computer they login from.
