There are three kinds of translation:
1 - Machine Translation [Pre-AI "Google Translate", "Baidu Translate" ,etc..Heuristic pattern translation - what has been around for common computer translation for a long long time.
2 - Human Translation
3 - LLM/AI translation
A large majority of our content was translated with a combination of machine translation and human translation before LLM translation was a possibility back in 2017.
AI would do it better and with less errors today. We should re-translate all of this old content with AI, and your problem would be solved.
Your criticism is not with AI, your criticism is with tired humans translating thousands of lines of text in a file with very little game context. It's something a modern LLM would do in one-shot with very low errors.
But if you are concerned with the use of AI specifically - then, the convincing evidence of us not using AI to translate is, well, 2017.
As for MabiPro's runtime - our client is both modified through native ASM edits + a runtime patcher (you can find it in Bexon.dll). There is nothing obfuscated in our additions to the game - you are free to disassemble it and check it out. It is an advanced memory patcher similar to Kanan and other mods, but it patches both our server and client to add features such as custom skills.
