I think it's really cool that people are starting to talk about an important thing. It shows that people are learning instead of squabbling. The only thing I don't like is that there are a ton of ways to approach this and at such an early stage, there's a very high likelihood it may cause more problems.

Just appoint a community manager with some experience or something.

Just a few things to keep in mind before asking for even more buffs or comparing yourselves to other classes

If my memory is correct I never wanted to buff mages. Just wanted them to be viable. Buffing implies that it stood a chance in the first place. And despite everything we supposedly "forgot," mages are still outclassed

If you're not enjoying the class then pick something else

Am pure mage. Who says I don't enjoy magic? You're very quick to jump to conclusions. If you're trying to convince people that mages aren't outclassed because they're able to spam a single skill, you have to put a lot of mana and time to make that possible. And it's a really long and boring process that is really counter intuitive because it costs mana to make mana. Add money onto that and yeah, you may as well just pick a different class. In fact if you're so sure, then just provide evidence instead of throwing around hostilities. You're not that convincing anyway

I already debunked all but one of his points, since the 10 MP pot and CC firebolt is an actual glitch and should be fixed if possible.

Don't let him taunt you further. He makes some good points but mostly lacking any real substance and delivers them tactlessly. Maybe he should have put more of his AP into charisma

I do believe it's possible since I did it with a human and no help. Just relevant knowledge such as dual wielding upgraded gladius and CP mob calculators and astral patch mod which reveals CP in game. I highly recommend it.

I mean

Am pure mage

I'm just chuckling at the 5 dollars = 2 thoroughbreds idea. It's not the best examples you could have given but a true incentive to donating that would benefit everyone is a great idea. I'm sure anyone could come up with a better reward than what Nexon has to offer. Here's a few:

Cosmetic rewards such as clothes, dyes, other fashion items

Access to places that would take longer without donating. Such as controlling moon gate locations through donation

Access to items that would take longer to obtain without donating. Such as selecting a specific item to be rewarded during the banquet rather than random item

People will get angry if THEIR favorite items would be implemented as Donation ONLY items.

Don't think thats really feasable and people use flyers anyway.

This would be 100% p2w.

People would get angry if other people have items better than theirs anyway. Cosmetic should be fine since it's tradable and can be sold.

Yeah it's probably not any different from just buying a town wing. Town wings are better than moon gates in my opinion. Though it would be nice if moon gates restored mana.

It's not100% pay to win. My example only demonstrates the ability to select items to generate at the banquet. Not who receives the reward.

Not sure where to put this so I'll leave it here. Upon a request, I would like to answer some questions based on what people want to ask a pure mage and anything in general.

I have join 9 months ago (276 days to be precise) and have no intention of changing class. My guidelines are to stick to skills that give int and magic damage or relevant life skills. I have faced some very interesting game mechanics and some very terrible ones too. Ask me anything!

I stuck to exclusively magic and alchemy for a long time, I don't really have any questions for you right now but it's great to see someone else who enjoys this playstyle!

Hah. Enjoy. That's an overstatement

I know in group content there is a desire to add enemies that can't just be easily locked down by one player, so that's where some of that came from...

There's a problem with doing this. Only the player who gets the finish on a monster gets the drops from it. There's less incentive for someone to help another player kill a mob if they're not going to get any reward for it. Why waste your time helping someone when you can similarly help the team and get loot by taking on mobs yourself? Unless if you make a workaround so that players have an non-altruistic incentive to fight the same mob, this sentiment against mobs that have no solo counterplay will remain.

What about... Making the outcome worth the income of the scenario? If people have to spend 10 MP100 potions, 2 entire durability points and a ton of HP pots to complete a single wave of enemies, the reward should be adjusted accordingly and with gradually increasing value after every wave

Jesus. Just want to say that I'm glad we're talking about this but we should have already established a few points. I suppose I might as well input my contributions so we can compile as much as possible.

Life skills are NOT fun. It was never intended to be fun. For people who find it fun: great. Otherwise, the majority would agree that it's not out of fun that you're supposed to do them. It's necessary.

What incentive do we have to participate in life skills?

- It sucks to do later on when you have more levels and less chances to fail
- Everyone says to
- It's the only way to benefit from your class by sustainable resources
- Gives stats
- To make money

If any of these apply to you, then they should get doubled. To not make them double rates would be saying "Just do combat. You will still accomplish more or equal than if you ranked life skills."

Sorry Frutt but I disagree with you. I've held my opinions steady from the start. The opposite could equally happen. It could lengthen the experience. More people are doing life skills. More people are making weapons and armour. More people are looking for herbs. More personal shops. More life skill communities. More economic development. It will give people more incentive to play the game.

My point is, video games should be fun. What reason have we been reducing the fun element for? Think about it long and hard, people. Please.

A lot of good points and issues have been raised in this thread. I'll comment briefly on a few of the topics raised.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU-

I do find that I mostly agree with Ihzi most of the time. But this is not a good medium for voicing concerns in large paragraphs. We should have a podcast/ interview/ livestream type thing with or without the devs. For personal use.

- Easily cover tons of areas and topics in a short amount of time
- Find common ground, agreements and disagreements in a sensible, live discussion
- Have questions prepared beforehand by other members
- Can choose the gravity of each topic

I'd even be happy if there was a dedicated voice channel for hour-long discussions on interesting/ important topics. Like how Steven Crowder sets up a random table and asks people to change his mind.

"Elves are lewd. Change my mind."
