This is purely community hosted, GMs are not involved.
Awhile back I wrote a book for mabipro, you can read it here if you feel inclined. https://pastebin.com/mU3wr3gi
I had left shortly after for a break, as I also was dying from the flu.
Now I'm back, and I thought of a great way to encourage creativity and be a community.
What I propose is simple: Write.

Write about Mabinogi.
In the world of Erinn we're everywhere, and nowhere. It's usually implied that you, and only you, are the chosen hero and everyone else is your trusted friend.
So really you could be just a normal giant, or a normal elf. Maybe you're something more. I hear maybe though you don't care about who your player character is? That's fine too, you could write just a nature essay about the creatures of Iria. What I'm asking is that you simply write about Mabinogi.

Rules:
Please no sexually explicit stories.
Please post your work in a pastebin.
Please do not write flaming, or joke, stories about other players. Exceptions may occur, if both parties are fine with it, but generally don't do it please.
Please state your category when posting your story.
Please keep your stories somewhat short. Five pages if you need a limit, just know I'll possibly read more than five pages but you shouldn't test this.

There will be three categories for winners:
Comedy, joke stories. You can meme as much as you want.
Prize:(25) (125) red coins.

Encyclopedia, basically school work but for a game. You can pretend to be the nature channel.
Prize: My somewhat upgraded Rose Thorn, it's not very good, and a RKA.

Backstory, write your oc donut steel history. Like I did.
Prize: Frog Robe, and 4 red ups and 4 blue ups

I will be judging, and I have the final say. Of course community feedback also plays a part.

Edit: The deadline is not set yet.
Edit2: Special thanks to Lake for offering to help the prizes.
Edit3: I keep making edits. A lot people have shown interest, but none have posted in the thread. Please post in the thread if you have any comments about this.
Edit4: The deadline is now August 11th. Please read below.

What exactly goes in the "encylopedia" category? A game guide on actual game mechanics? Or just any serious work that isn't a backstory? I don't go to school or have a TV, so don't know what schoolwork or "the nature channel" mean.

I'll go through them all.

Comedy:
A story in which is not to be taken seriously.

Encyclopedia:
A story in which attempts to detail lore, or otherwise mundane activities, or even animals. So yes, you could write a game guide, if you wanted. Basically this is for non-personal stories.

Backstory:
A story which attempts to detail lore about a person, group or identity. Basically this is for personal stories.

Edit:
What personal means is the following: It's personal to speak of the horrors of being a dark knight, it's not personal to write an essay on dark knights. It probably depends on what person you're writing in. First person is usually personal, third person is usually not. If the writer, the fictional person writing the book, is writing about their experiences it is probably personal, but if they're writing a documentary about a hippo it's probably not personal.

Deadline is now August 11th, we need at least 6 people to join for me to consider this an actual event.
Edit: I'm just canceling it, no one really seems interested. I apologize to all those who entered.

I just want content the makes the social aspect of this game fun. Now I'm not saying you can't be creative and think of games or stuff to do with what we have, I ran four tabletop games in Mabi so far with what we currently have, but I'd like more.

Like an actual PvP arena that's a scheduled event weekly, more handicraft items, and monthly events hosted at specific towns to get people together: They don't even need to give great rewards but something to encourage players to spend time working together. Maybe things like beach of scathach.

Even bad content, in the perspective of my friends, has given us laughs and fun. So really just anything works, but I fear that maybe one day that won't work anymore. If you focus too much on combat you forget what makes this game special.
