I just want content the makes the social aspect of this game fun. Now I'm not saying you can't be creative and think of games or stuff to do with what we have, I ran four tabletop games in Mabi so far with what we currently have, but I'd like more.

Like an actual PvP arena that's a scheduled event weekly, more handicraft items, and monthly events hosted at specific towns to get people together: They don't even need to give great rewards but something to encourage players to spend time working together. Maybe things like beach of scathach.

Even bad content, in the perspective of my friends, has given us laughs and fun. So really just anything works, but I fear that maybe one day that won't work anymore. If you focus too much on combat you forget what makes this game special.

An event like this might get people to socialize more. https://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Zombie_Attack_Event_

I'd like to see this event again for Halloween if possible.

We plan to run this event again.

That's awesome. Thanks Drahan!

So currently when you get disconnected from the game and try to log back in, you'll sometimes get this message:

Is it possible to change the option from disconnecting to being able to rejoin where your character is already logged in? ie: in a dungeon, shadow mission, etc.

If so, I think this would be a great feature to have.

Hi,

I remember on live, the Red Dragon and Desert Dragon would only spawn on Mondays / Wednesdays up until some update changed it to twice daily.

Is this server before or after that update? or have any custom changes been done on boss spawn times? Thanks!

Why is it more difficult to track compared to live?

I see, thanks for the help.

I used archive.org (https://web.archive.org/web/20121017001733/http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com:80/view/Desert_Dragon) to find the old dragon spawn times, so just in case anyone is else is looking I will copy/paste all info on them here.

Desert Dragon:

Spawns once weekly in all channels simultaneously, on Wednesday night between 6 PM and midnight server time.
Successfully sketching it nets you 1,200 Exploration EXP (+250 if it is nighttime).
It only spawned on the Sheep Landmark in northern Muyu Desert during the three Desert Dragon Summoning Events.

Combat:

Run out of the way on a mount if it starts to fly up, because it's going to use its Fireball or Flight Stomp.
Also run if it opens its mouth, because it is going to use Stone Breath, which petrifies you.
Try to keep to the left or right side of the dragon in case it uses Dragon Dash Attack.
Using Windmill increases the risk of it using Dragon Dash Attack.
Use an obstacle to dodge attacks.
It may try to escape by flying away. Peaceful Magical Music should remedy this.

Red Dragon:

Spawns once a week simultaneously in all channels, on Monday night between 6 PM and midnight server time.
Successfully sketching it gets you 1,200 Exploration EXP.

Combat:

Strongest dragon in terms of damage. In fact, it is the strongest monster; it can hit over 10,000 damage without a Critical Hit.
Spawn area is a no flight zone.
Has multiple places to target for attack (Head, Chest, Wings, Feet and Tail). Some of its attacks will be temporarily unusable based on which area was targeted.
Weather will change when it is going to use Rain of Thunder or Meteor. Attacking its wings triggers this.
Dragon Fear will halve your Mana and Stamina and cancels pet summons.
It uses Tail Attack faster than rank 9 Windmill; this attack has twice the stun time of other dragons' Tail Attack.
It usually Stampedes after it lands from doing Meteor.
The Dragon will only hang around for 30 minutes before leaving if it hasn't been killed.
As of the 2/22/10 update, the Red Dragon's AI has been completely redone. It is now much harder to kill; Windmill does not cancel its skills, and it attacks much more frequently with almost no grace periods between attacks.
Traditional strategies don't work as well.
If you only have a few people with you, it is recommended to attack the chest area. This way, you are too close for it to use breath attacks, and the tail doesn't hit you as often.
Dig a hole using Stomp or Land Maker to avoid its Meteor or Rain of Thunder attack.

"It only spawned on the Sheep Landmark in northern Muyu Desert during the three Desert Dragon Summoning Events." Is making reference to the fact that during a specific event, the Desert Dragon only spawned on the Sheep Mark. It's not saying it normally spawns there. It spawns near Kaypi Canyon on two desert plateaus, one with a sun mark on it.

That's a big disappointment, it was useful to look at their posts from up to 2011-2012 for information. I looked on: http://web.archive.org/web/*/mabination.com

and some forum posts are archived and able to be read, others aren't. Maybe you can find useful guides on there still.

Yes, regular ice swords are available. You can also get Nevermelting Ice Swords from doing the custom-made Reoite dungeon located southwest of the mana tunnel at Sella Beach in Physis.

You get the Nevermelting version by completing a quest bought from an NPC inside the dungeon for 50k. The NPC only spawns in the 'Ancient Nevermelting Ice' version of the dungeon.

Good luck

Instead of adding an armor mastery skill, providing a flat buff across the board to def / prot of heavy and light armors might work to increase their competitiveness against clothes. As to how much of a buff, someone would need to do the math to see what would make each set competitive with each other.

Either that, or adding in some new custom-made enchants for armors could work too.

They drop as a rare reward from Reoite dungeon as well, though I believe they have a time limit before they melt and get destroyed. You can also craft them with handicraft, but I think you need to be rank 8 or 7, and I believe that version is timed as well.

I'm fine with the way MabiPro is being moderated.

Players shouldn't be allowed to get their kicks from ruining the experience of others. Even if there is a block function, it's quite easy to spread rumors and force another player into becoming a social pariah.

While I myself don't really engage in many social aspects while playing MabiPro, it's easy to understand how a lack of moderation will impact the game. Some people will definitely quit because of bullying, and the general environment of the player base will become tainted and nasty over time. This will turn even more new players off and ruin the experience for those who choose to stick around.

It's like advocating for anarchy and expecting a good conclusion - all you'll get is people at each other's throats, because that's what people do when they're not controlled.
