I'd REALLY appreciate if the some tweaks to the manual patching process were done.

Either redesign the auto-launcher to accept manually downloaded patches instead of freezing up and refusing to work if the patch archive is present. (have it do a verification check like normal, and if it works, it installs the patch. If it doesn't work, it deletes the archive and tries to re-download).

or change the launcher version file to be easily edited so If I'm having trouble with a patch, I'm not forever prevented from using the auto-launcher ever again.

I can just edit the version to the patch I manually installed and be able to use it for the other patches till I get to another one that refuses to download properly in the launcher.

Or at least include a launcher version update in the manual patches so the launcher can pick up and do the next one in order if i had to manual patch.

I'm very much against multi-boxing, even manually.

A small community gets even smaller when people turn it into a single player game.

It's destroyed a great many private servers I've been on.

Though obviously some set ups are harder to tell the difference between.

Some servers are so strict you can get false positive temp-bans due to multiple people playing from the same house. Unless you jump through a lot of hoops to make it work.

I'd much rather see dungeon passes just replaced with unrestricted, and all shadow missions changed to a minimum of 1, if it means that you can just disallow multi-boxing.

If you're strong enough to do it alone, then let them do it alone.

But don't let them get bonus rewards because of it. that's already built into the server bonuses.

did you change anything at all?

I recall being able to respec again as long as i didn't reset anything but my Destiny. (I used to it cap pretty much everything i could before breaking 100 by swapping destiny and training those skills and then resetting via Duncan and doing another skill set).

It's been a few months since then though, and that might've been a bug.

Would be easier to just remove limited duration on Skill pages.

That keeps enchants rare and powerful, but doesn't massively hinder people from getting skills.

The trick for CC4 FB is to save it for once you're out of MP.

You only need enough MP for 1 charge to full chain-cast, so use your other spells.

Fuse-bolt LB/FB or FB/IB or sometimes IB/LB can burn through rooms quickly and more mana-efficiently.

Save the CC4 FB spam for stuff that REALLY needs it and keep a stack of MP10's in your lower inventory so you can drink 1 between shots to get enough mana for 1 shot without wasting.

Keep in mind, the Spirit Blessing Liquer ALSO repairs your weapon in addition to blessing it.

It restores 50% of the durability and then blesses it.

So it's not as ephermeal as a Holy Water, and you get a huge chunk of repaired damage in the process as well, which is definitely worth the purchase price IMO even at 100k.

Especially for a rare spirit weapon.

I'm in the camp thinking that Nao is fused with Danu.

Danu is mentioned exactly once in all of Mabinogi, as the creater of Star Hill.

And i don't believe all of the people of the Tuatha are refugees from Partholon.

Most of them came from the other world before it fused with Erinn.

It could be that Danu perished during the Conjuction and her people that she shielded through it were protected on Star Hill but lost their memory of the Event and Morrighan decided to take them for herself.

The OTHER humans being the ones Neahmain created in Iria after she'd left the other world due to getting sick of all their bullshit and wanting to make her own land and peoples but were the tribe who broke the old laws (the tribe that used to live in the abandon section of Iria where the explorer's base camp is) and stole the Heart of Coracle to discover alchemy and the power of the gods, eventually fleeing Iria under the Leadership of Partholon when the removal of the Heart of Coracle jump-started the Rage of Dragons.

The Heart was lost during the evacuation but they managed to create a new one after arriving in Uladh that became the Altar of Caliburn.

They eventually come to Uladh and form Partholon the city. When the Conjunction Happens, Morrighan finds humans already in Erinn and is appalled and their perversion of the birthright of the Gods and makes a deal with Cichol to let the Fomors escape their dying world and share Erinn if they'll help dispose of the Partholonians.

Their creation and discovery of the Soul Stream likely happened before the Conjunction as it seems the soul stream was necessary to combine the worlds together. Which is around the same time Shakesphere arrives in Erinn.

She of course backstabs and blames everything on the Fomors and unites the People of Danu and Survivors of Partholon that Shakesphere saved and leads them into the first Fomor War, and even gets the other Gods involved as well.

During this time Math builds his mana Siphons (that eventually become Math and Rabbie dungeons) around village of Dunbarton and uses that power to fuel his spells to hold the enemy at Bay at Gairech Hills while the survivors of the first clash at Sen Mag flee into Fiodh, led by Lugh (who due to wielding Brionac during this period is likely a survivor of Partholon, which learning of Morrighan's manipulation to destroy his people could explain his gradual descent into being to adamantly Anti-God).

Lugh meets with the Queen of the Fey (actually Neahmain in disguise, who has come to Ulaidh to vacation after that whole mess in Iria) and the two form a relationship in exchange for letting the humans settle there. Elathia is born sometime during this period in secret and Lugh becomes Neamhain's Champion, the Knight of Light.

After regrouping they push against the Fomors, during which Macha falls for Lugh as well, and in a secret meeting, to two begin a relationship and she pulls her support from the war, though not before Crom Cruiach killed Naudha. Morrighan is forced to intervene directly and uses her full might to banish the Fomors from Erinn and create a lock to keep them out but is greatly weakened in the process.

Morrighan is called to task for sparking this whole war by Aton Cimeni, and put in detention and forbidden from getting directly involved with the humans again (though Cichol takes advantage of her weakened state and imprisons her more fully).

During the interrim aftermath, Macha realizes that Lugh doesn't love her and feels betrayed and kills herself with the events becoming twisted and vague via retellings until we get the story of Emain Macha, though not before producing Triona who Lugh takes in.

Like-wise during this time Humanity breaks their treaty with Fey Queen, and she prepares to destroy all of humanity in Erinn similar to her cursing of the Elves and Giants before, but Lugh goes before her and calms her down, limiting the curse to only Fiodh itself. And both disappear.

During the 2nd Fomor war, Lugh reappears but is appalled at how corrupt humanity has become with their greed and lust for more power and simply abandons them once the war is over and goes to join the Fomors and becomes Morgant.

The tragedy of Emain Macha happens afterward due to the still young child Triona being discovered by Redire and Morgant coming to collect her.

The rest is pretty straight forward.

Morgant is furious about Cichol sacrificing Elathia and Triona's eventual death is the last straw and he declares open war on them all, though he admitted much earlier that Cichol was merely a tool for his own ambition and he had no particular loyalty to the Fomors.

Would be nice to get some more exploration options.

Or fixing some of the more annoying design decisions Nexon made.

Possible Easy improvements:

Buff exploration xp sources across the board.

Even on live they buffed base exploration xp significantly for discoveries (you currently get around 40 xp for a monkey statue on here, where as on live with no other boosts it's around 320 (or might be 280) or a lot more with exploration mastery skilled up).

Up the exploration xp from quests by about double. (their time to xp ratio is completely pathetic, could even swap the values so the explore xp is the big value while the normal xp is the small value).

Add exploration artifacts to Iria Dungeon end chests similar to how live did it, with a guaranteed artifact drop of random value.

More complex stuff:

Changing the zone-wide pulse that clears all active exploration sites in Courcle to a 5 minute pulse or at least Sync up to the Server clock (so that it pulses every in-game hour on the turn of the hour) so that it pulses at a predictable time so people don't constantly get nailed with their chests disappearing the instant they spawn or only having a couple seconds to beat their guardians.

(to be honest though I'm not sure what purpose the pulse even serves besides to annoy the crap out of people stupid enough to do exploration. It doesn't shuffle Artifacts sites around or anything, it just despawns all active sites at the moment of pulse. And the discovery sites in the other regions use individual spawn timers, so you have around 2 minutes to do something with your discovery before it despawns. I imagine it's some server stability relic from the release of Iria (back when people were all over Iria spamming crap) that has long since been rendered pointless and simply relegated to a mass frustration feature).

Just raise Vioght's success rate or just removing the failure chance altogether (could reduce or remove gold payout due to fewer wasted artifacts and turn it into a gold sink for exploration XP. Gold pay-out remains on appraised but non-restored artifacts).

(that's essentially what the Artifact Investigation skill did on live, since you couldn't make money using that skill for turning in Artifacts, any profit you made came from completing Artifact books and selling the rewards, which unlike turning in the Artifacts, doesn't create Gold from thin air, it just moves it around between players).

Fossils are similar to Cor Artifacts in terms of explore xp but only if you can get them really well restored consistently.

I have a condition with my mouse hand that makes it basically impossible to do fossils, so I didn't list anything with those because I've only done it a couple times to try it out and couldn't really suggest anything beyond maybe making the mini-game more forgiving for lower end restores.

I'd mix it up a little.

instead of generating goods automatically, crafters would actually need to make the items and sell them to the merchants for a base-rate (But they can only accept so many at a time, so people HAVE to Commerce to open up slots for more, with forfeited goods being returned to the stock). And then people who want to make potentially more profit can go risk the bandits transporting to other towns.

Tir = Potion Making
Tara = Carpentary
Bangor = Refining/Blacksmithing
Emain = Cooking
Tail = Synthesis/crystal making
Dunby = Tailoring
Port Ceann = Fishing Goods/local gatherables

The titles require you meet certain requirements while wearing some parts of their character's respective outfits.

the main armors came from rebirthing with specific character cards.

Some of the smaller bits and bobs came from Gatchas that were available during the event.

You'd probably have to add them to merchants or gatcha drops or rare mission drops.

they could add rebirth potions with maximum cumulative level limits on them for different prices.

So newbies could farm coins/gold and rebirth quickly but once they got to a certain point, those potions wouldn't work and they'd need more expensive ones and so forth, up to a decent level to have a reasonably formed character.

I wouldn't allow them for higher than 1k cumulative level though.

~2k ap + whatever they get from age-ups and exploration levels is more than enough for a solid character.

This would also allow you to rebirth and get your destiny immediately instead of having to wait for 2 weeks before you can start playing.

I disagree.

A medium-class shield reduces all incoming damage by 50% when used to block (in addition to the hidden bonuses to def and protection and bonus from def skill), before protection and defense are accounted for. (this can outright negate attacks from even Ogre Warriors with upgraded armor and r1 defense)

And you need a shield for charge, unless you're a giant, and to actually stop ranged attacks from messing with you while defending.

(now a small shield isn't much worth using (it's only -25% incoming damage and much lower hidden values) IMO, unless you're just broke and REALLY need a shield, I never touched those until Guard Cylinders were added much much later, since it at least brought some added hybrid value on top of the small shield benefits)

You can pretty much negate 300+ attacks fairly easily. It's not Vales Shield amazing or anything (-100% damage when blocking) but if you NEED to take a hit, there's no reason to not take it with a shield.

Especially starting out, focusing on close combat and keeping some Dual-wield or 2hdr for damage and sword/shield for when you're fighting tankier enemies you might need to take an attack or two on to set up a combo.

Probably not, as it would require implementing the entire Genesis update.

Which means re-doing every single quest in the generations by hand as almost none of them work the same they do post-Genesis.

But here's the thing.

You don't NEED to incentive people to do them.

it's a sand-box. They'll do them if they want to do them and they will do them for the story. because thats the only reason they exist and that you would choose to do them over just skipping via the strange cat if all you want is Pally or DK and don't care about the story.
