updating the client created the usual "patch files already exist issue" i get but when i manually unzip the 281 282 patch files and extract the clients windows defender alerts it as a trojan, its never done this before with client.exe files. what is going on? o3o

It is, and always has been, a false positive, because Nexon used Themida to pack the client. Maybe Defender is making more of a stink about it than before, but this has always been the case.
