Okay, I think this is getting ludicrous.

My issue is straightforeward: When I or just now another party member presses the skip cutscene option, the game freezes up for me and I then have to close the program.

Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

This is an issue in Windows 8 and Windows 10. Try activating the Windows 10 Fix.bat file located in the MabiPro installation directory. This will disable the Windows Error Reporting service, which might fix the problem in some cases.

Alternatively, you can use Windows 7 instead. We're looking into fixing this, but it's a complicated issue that is a result of poor handling in Windows 8 and Windows 10.

Also, the game is not frozen permanently, you don't have to close it. It's dumping it's process memory to the hard disk, which momentarily pauses the game until it is complete. This may take a while on a lot of systems though.

So does using Windows 7 compatability mode count?

I don't seem to have the Fix.bat in the MabiPro file, is there a direct download for that?

No, Windows 7 compatibility mode does not count. It's a problem in Windows itself, not the application..

The file should be called "Windows 10 Fix- RunAsAdmin.bat"

Here, cutscene skips. I haven't had any issues with crashing yet, anyone's welcome to use. Just please give me credit or a heads up, if you redistribute.

Do you just put the folder in the MabiPro folder?

the 'data' folder will go in mabi pro folder, yes. Naturally, don't edit any of the names, or remove any content, unless you actually want to uninstall the mod.
