9th Anniversary Screenshot Contest ~ Hidden in Plain Sight!
Welcome back to MabiPro, everyone! After a surprising year and a stint playing in the past, we've all returned to MabiPro happy and eager in the past few months.
As always, it's time for the bi-yearly screenshot contest, with some special prizes to help make your return to mabipro a memorable one.
This time, the theme is Hidden in Plain Sight!
How good are you at hiding? How good are you at camoflauge? Ever play "Where's Waldo?"
Take those skills to the next level with our Hidden in Plain Sight Screenshot Contest!
Simply take a nice photo, staged with friends or on your own, of a location where you are hiding as a prop or part of the scenery. You can even disguise pets as part of the scene if you so please!
The goal is to take a photo where it's not obvious where you are at first. The use of the Built In Screenshot Tool in your Menu will be helpful for this- it will freeze your camera position so you can move around.
Hide yourself, your pet, or your prop somewhere inconspicuous, while trying to take as high quality of a photo as possible. Artistic vision and image quality count! See the tips and tricks for good photos below.
How you disguise yourself is up to you - you can rebirth to change your appearance, decorate yourself, or blend in as close as possible to the surroundings.
Due to their nature, the use of the Barrel Pet, Beebox Pet, and Elf Hide are discouraged. Clipping out of bounds is also explicitly not allowed, but you may be inside any objects that to not have a hitbox.
Image editing is not allowed for this event, that means no splicing, no blurring, and no color correction in post.
Example:
The deadline for submission is 11:59 PM, PST, March 16th. All entries must be submitted by this time, as the winners will be announced by March 20th.

Tips for taking a good photo
~Using a second client with a character that can play dead is useful for lining up good angled photos of yourself, rather than having the camera centered on you.
~Having a second client use a Tower Cylinder can provide an entirely unique angle and framing!
~Press ctrl+N and ctrl+ P to hide names and parties, and use \ to hide all windows for a clearer workspace.
~Clicking outside the Mabipro window and using prtscr or a program like lightshot will get you a higher quality photo than mabinogi’s built in screenshot tool, and will get you a higher score.
~Using light sources well will improve your score. Some in game examples of unique light sources are lamp posts, handcrafted torches, magic music, blinker beams, and glowing trees.
~Props such as mimic statues, dropped items, housing furniture or tools, and Installed Alchemy structures can add extra subject and rhythm to your photos. Try it if you feel you need something extra!
~What's happening in the scene. Who are the characters? How are they interacting? Does the photo tell a story? Thinking about what you can do and how you can make it work in a photo will boost your score.
