I was trying to create a character in the game, but when I clicked on the free card, it said that it wasn't supported. Is it like the original where you have to pay for hairstyles?

You do not have to pay for "premium" hairstyles here. Maybe try again.

I had the same problem when creating a new character with the recently added hair. I tried multiple times. I figured I can change it on the first rebirth. (something with the beginner card not having full access)

I also had this kind of issue with a Giant assistant card. Since I didn't know what part went wrong I started to change everything until it succeeded.
After the numerous tries, I believe the last thing I changed was hair color or eyes color (not sure though).
