MabiPro: The Authentic Old-School Mabinogi Experience

Does anyone else ever get the want to go back to live? Some of the new clothing is really neat, some of the weapon choices are pretty exciting or fun.. I mean don't get me wrong, the community on live is awful and the lag makes me want to die but knowing the content potential that's in mabi live and the comparing it to mabi.pro it just sort of feels bad. That's not to say this server isn't fantastic. The GM's do some solid work on here and i really appreciate that. Just sometimes i get the urge to go back. Anyone else ever feel like that?

I sometimes get the urge to go back and check if my eagle is 1000 years old yet.

I only miss using stomp on my giant to kill everything. Stomp > windmill, hihi

Here and there, but only for small things like Sing, Meteor, and Lightning Rod. And to be able to press tab without killing all my mana

not really, the other day logged on, lag was the "meh" that I always had, the community the same shit, and all around I don't see anything done there being an "accomplishment" so yea, noty.

I do say that Mabi.pro tho, will catch up and become better then Official, give it time, wait it out, don't do like some that rushed and burned out(I was about to do that, took a break, fresh as new, and enjoying it)
Still on the wait for Dyable shields/bows/wands and new Armor/Weapons craftable and Im sure they will keep pumping more SM's and other stuff for us to do(but really, we could have those dyable shields/bows/wands already @Flippy and @Drahan....REALLY!)

I have a knack of re-meeting extremely close friends(that I haven't met with for a long time) as enemies. I don't want to take the risk.

It's also because it became of game of talking s__t for likes and forum rep. Even if a person can keep their acuity or composure for this sort of thing, why bother sticking around. Especially after incredibly long-term, unpunished passive aggression and tag harassment.

This kind of mess can jade you into unkindness

I'm still trying to wash my hands entirely of live - 4 years is a lot to look back and admit as being, essentially, a waste of your time as I've only made a few friends out of it and all of them have stopped playing, while even with all the good stuff I've hoarded and skills I've trained, it feels like I've never accomplished anything because I don't have the most god-like stuff or even decent reforges.

I just cut ties with my last guild back on live, so hopefully I can just cut it out entirely within a few month's time. I won't miss it now as I have nothing to miss anymore, and my last act was to give a bag and a cutlass to a newer player. There's always the nice ones of the bunch, but in time, they'll all quit as well and move on like I'm finally getting able to.

Live is full of bullshit that caters specifically to lazy people now. You literally fall 30000 years behind if you don't throw money at everything. Fucking obnoxiously overpowered pets that heal you whenever you want, pets that give you a massive damage boost, pets that increase your training, pets that fucking stun and freeze enemies, pets that deal 500 damage the second they get summoned in a wide area...

It's a fucking travesty. I have so much shit I can rant on I would probably turn 70 by the time I finish it. That was uh...obviously an exaggeration. But still, tons of shit to rant about.

You wanna know what I did? DELETE ALL OF MY SHIT. LITERALLY EVERYTHING. There, never a temptation to play it again.

Reforges + Hair Coupons, that's all I have to say.

I told myself, if anything ever happened to this server, I would be done with Mabi for good. Now I have to choose between enjoying Mabi or Paying rent, Nexon doesn't give me a choice anymore.

I wouldn't be here if I wanted to play live mabi. I stopped playing it for like 2 years before finding this server. I keep it installed so I can log in and laugh at everyone who still plays it.

And then went back to the live server lol.
