It mind sound strange (and very much like another survival game) but why don't we try to incorporate an Armadillo pet? Not just one of the tiny ones we find in Filia - but an armadillo pet that is about half the size of a ten year old human player when age 5? The idea came up for this while mining because perhaps the pet itself could bring a buff to the player while mining. Not a very large one - about a 5% increase chance of success at most? Just a little something to help the miners and smiths of MabiPro out a little ~ since the herbalists already have a clover pig that they can gather herbs from. Feel free to ask questions and maybe it can be talked through to being an actual existing thing?

Or maybe not even a buff - but a pet you can collect fragments or ores from (like the clover pig or sheep) so that you dont HAVE to go to a certain area like you do with Metallurgy, Sheep Sheering, Mining, and Herbalism.

maybe a mini crystal golem and call it a mineral golem and let you mine it for ores?

A mini crystal golem would be adorable! Would make sense to since...well a golem is made of stone or precious gems. SO maybe if the pet was a thing...it could have a smaller chance of gem spawning like the normal metallurgy spots?

Sorry that reply took so long

Metallurgy is already a a huge buff to refining and blacksmithing. If there's a mining related pet, I think it should be something that only helps actually going into the mines. A canary would fit well. Bonuses, I dunno. I'm sure there's plenty of ideas to make mining more worth the hassle via a pet bonus.

That in itself would also be nice, i was just thinking of a portable pet like the clover pig - that way when your normal metallurgy spot is already filled with two or three people it'll be easier to gather - even though at a slower rate and mana dependent like the pig.

A pet to buff would be nice though if it weren't possible / favored. Maybe something like a mining speed boost or increase drop rate chance?

herb pigs are bad enough, pets you gather from that aren't just for cuteness/convenience's sake (see: sheep) are literally anti-content. measures should be made to make the activities themselves more alluring or worthwhile rather than introduce pets as excuses to not play the game

It's not an excuse to not play the game...But have you never been to a metallurgy beach and 2-3 people are already there? Or go to a metallurgy site and there is a person using a horse to speed by you to take spots near you before you can even get to them with being on foot?

Politeness concerning resources isn't something people seem to have anymore. Especially with how people can now freely multi-client to gather as much resource as they can to make themselves stronger/increase profit.

Gathering pets aren't anti-content. Just helpful and adds more convenience to gathering base resources.

Helpful.
