"Alt linking" is a thing already internally, but it's not public information because that information is considered sensitive.

It isn't having alts that is a secret. Everyone is allowed two alt accounts. However, some people may not want to disclose just which accounts are theirs. I for example like to just play the game sometimes - I would prefer that everyone didn't know who I was when I actually play on my alt, lest I get followed around or asked questions. Other players may have their own reasons.

How do you choose which accounts are alt accounts internally? By ip they're created from? Login places?
