MabiPro: The Authentic Old-School Mabinogi Experience

Hi everyone, returning player from Mabi EU, just got into the game today.
I read a lot of the guides here and still left wondering about some stuff.
1)I heard the are mods for this servers(?) If there are which one should I install?
2) is it still necessary to install the latency fix you used to install to fix combat?
3)I would love for some advice about builds and combat tactics
4) What wiki is best for this server?
And finally, I’m just starting G1 and would love the play with other people!

1) AstralWorld patcher is the only patcher approved for MabiPro, you can find it elsewhere on the forum. Data mods are generally fine but check with staff if you're unsure
2) Denagle helps.
3) Start human, to get a free elf and giant; start age 17, for higher base stats and faster proficiency; strongly consider ranking Windmill and Refine/Metallurgy to r1 before total level 100, while you can still freely reset skills. And check out the Solo Battle Tactics page on the historical wiki
4) Mabinogi World Wiki is fine for most vanilla things, but always look at the March 2011 revision first, and beware that anything populated by a template transclusion will pull from the current version of the wiki regardless. If you aren't familiar with the term, just beware of monster info and enchant info.
