It appears that you are using an AutoClicker for this
Please do not test latency with AutoClicker tools, as this messes up packet lining

both are with autoclickers and it still happens without using an autoclicker

there's something wrong but i'm not the one thats able to figure out if its the server or the routing or the game

all of my videos are with leatrix latency fix enabled (disables nagle's algorithm), the very first video is from G13 or G14 on the live nexon server

the inconsistencies exist and are more obvious on an offline server:

there are pauses while spamming lb, healing, weapon switching and resting
i assure you these didn't exist in the live server

everything is much slower compared to socal/texan players from the live G13, in terms of weapon switching, skill spamming, rest spamming, etc

i won't post on this topic anymore i just wanted to inform people

I use leatrix fixed my nagle and was using ping zapper.
Looks like I'm screwed haha

use leatrix latency fix and 128 mtu, it should fix your lag problems as that's what players did to get a decent connection with high ping in the live version of G13.

you will still lag if you use 1500 mtu on 100 ping, its necessary to change it

edit: Got it to work after some tinkering(just had to move the contents of the folder into the directory and overwrite, not sure why it's an installer at this point)

Now the new issue is that the map mods don't seem to work. They're definitely in the pack, but they're not showing up in SMs or Iria or anywhere they should be working.

most of the sm maps and exploration maps work for me, not really gonna put much effort into this mod until later

Okay so my question is:
What's the point on playing on a 2x server when on global you can easily get 4x to 6x skill progression?
Why play on nerfed rates?

it's not nerfed, the live mabinogi is just a mess now, imo the rates are 2x higher than they should be on this server

The uptick in people calling for giant nerfs really concerns me: I'd like to throw my voice in as one of the players who enjoys the fact that this server is casual-friendly and not excessively punishing. It's a great game to pick up and chill out (on my own or with friends) and not stress too much about whether my build's going to be crippled by wand repairs. If someone doesn't like that, the files are available to create their own ultra-hardcore server, not change what a lot of people already enjoy.

1x rates isn't that much harder than 2x rates it just balances the game more easily since its already designed around that, but it would be kind of boring to have slower rates with no playerbase built up

its far too easy to get r1 wm with the 4x combat training now, and the windmill with no hp loss would just make it even more imbalanced

5. Elemental Shields
*I always thought this should be like a passive buff to party members. Casting it temporarily increases party members resistance to an elemental damage. These were added to alleviate headache from ranged attacks, and to reduce damage from Dragon/powerful enemy breath attacks, but their clunky charge up time, area of effect, and lack of mobility make them inefficient at best.

elemental shields have effective use in PvP

classes

ideas post G12 should not be implemented because nexon's dev team was changed and the game started going entirely downhill because they had no idea what they were doing, new content added to the server should be independent from the live version similar to the way oldschool runescape does it

I'd like to point out, things like pots, feathers, bandages, and a few other things had their max stack size increased. Some skills had the caps removed or raised, auto-queuing items into a production form was added, inventory auto-organize was added, tagging bags for when you pick up new items was added. The list goes on.

Post g12 does not necessarily make every idea bad. Yes, they should be closely monitored or modified possibly, but flat out refusing them based on the premise not of balance or how it affects the game, but that it was post g12, is not what you want.


Switching off that topic.
I will bring up the topic of mana evaportation for giants being a big issue for something like peaca. Wights are fully immune to physical, our throwing attack has a nasty cool down. I'm sure you can imagine the results for a giant in peaca, so i'll leave it at that. My opinion, i really want to do away with evaporation regardless, but w/e happens, happens.


there are some decent QUALITY OF LIFE updates, but those don't change the entire balance of the game.

take a look at oldschool runescape, but ignore their bad polled in updates (For example, the dragon spear special attack was extremely overpowered, but everybody voted no to nerfing it because every clan abused it and wanted to keep it in the game)

Bad example. I know very very little about runescape. I took a look at it years ago, but i didn't do much in it. I'm also not gonna go research an unfamiliar game for a point of reference. In short, i have no clue what you're talking about.

the entire content poll system is based off of oldschool runescape's, except it currently lacks an "abstain" option

there have been many debates about the OSRS system, but what the dev teams tend to do is come up with concepts for new content/weapons independently from the userbase, and then sort of show it off, and then do a poll for it.

having a group of experienced players/game developers in control of the updates may be better than a content polling system but it's not the worst thing ever

100% repairs should be available, the game was designed around them, and they were always in korea/japan afaik (and I think they still are?)

Sorry, I'm new to all of this. Is there another mod I need to get the translation working? I tried adding the directory on its own to no avail.

a lot of the translations are server side and need to be finished before it will be "working"
